We are the Sitka Black-Tailed Deer Coalition.

We support a bright future for Sitka black-tailed deer through outreach and research

  • Sitka black-tailed deer are an iconic species of America’s rainforest, and key to healthy forests and local communities.

  • But information is lacking on how to restore damaged habitat, and how to sustain migratory and resident segments of the population as habitat continues to change.

  • We support research and outreach to help guide management of these deer and their habitats, as well as enhance opportunities for hunters and wildlife viewers.

  • We are a new organization, and will be expanding our work to support research and outreach as we grow– subscribe to the newsletter, check out our blog, or follow us on twitter.
